Gazebo Weights – Replace Your Gazebo's Guy Ropes

Gazebos weights are the perfect accompaniment to any gazebo. Gazebo weights keep your gazebo secure and sturdy, so what advantages are there to using them instead of guy ropes?

Gazebo weights or sometimes known as gazebo feet are slotted over the gazebo legs, and clamped around them. They are then filled with either water or sand to give them weight. These can weigh from 5kg to 15kg, and with one on each leg, you could have a maximum of 60kg holding your gazebo in place.

Usually a gazebo would be held down with tent pegs and guy ropes, securing it in place, but sometimes these just aren't viable. If you have your gazebo standing on a concrete patio, or you have it in a big display court, you can't stake your pegs down. This can be dangerous as your gazebo would be free to move and topple, or even collapse. It needs to be secured.

In locations where you can't peg it down, gazebo weights are fantastic. They allow you the freedom to pitch your gazebo anywhere without the need of guy ropes. They can also become a safety feature. If you're pitching in a busy area with people walking about, guy ropes can often be hard to see. People can trip over them and hurt themselves. And tent pegs, if not pushed in the ground far enough, can be kicked. By using gazebo weights, you can eliminate these issues, and they are big enough to be clearly seen by passer-bys.

However, you can always use both too, if it calls for it. Maybe your pitching location is in an open area, and a place where the wind can pick up quite easily. Sometimes pegs or weights just aren't enough alone. Pegs and gazebo weights can be used in conjunction with each other as an added precaution. If the gazebo is pegged down and weighted down, there's less chance of it being taken by the wind.

So when you can't peg your gazebo down, gazebo weights are essential.
