The gazebo is a free standing structure designed to be a home-away-from-home on those hot summer days. The gazebo can be built from materials such as aluminum, steel or wrought iron, wood, stone and the canvas gazebo. They can be built in configurations such as round, square or octagonal. Some gazebos are built large enough to house in them a complete summer kitchen. These summer homes are nice for relaxation, entertaining family and friends or to just have a leisurely lunch or dinner and view nature at its best. Comfortable as they are, they are not indestructible structures and need protection from the elements and with wear and tear need maintenance.
The canvas gazebo is the answer to having a leisurely low maintenance place to relax without the heavy and often noisy construction of a metal, wood or stone gazebo. The canvas gazebo is made with an aluminum frame in a way similar to a camping tent. The canvas then covers the aluminum frame to form the gazebo. You may have screened windows made of flexible screening that zip open and zip closed. You would open them in the daytime to let in the sun and outdoor air and zip them at night to disillusion any mosquitoes or other flying insects.
